Project 10 is a strategy to acquire and demolish ten derelict properties in Edmonton’s core neighbourhoods and build new homes for families to purchase.
Purchased in September 2020, this is the second property in the ECDC’s Project 10 initiative. The property was a heap of debris when the ECDC purchased it due to the aftermath of a fire. Demolition was done in October of that year, with fences installed shortly after. There has been a delay because of issues with rezoning. Two years later, the city has approved the rezoning request, and Skil-Tec will be building a new home on the premises.
