Residents. Neighbours. Business Owners.
We have built a vehicle for local investment in Edmonton. The McCauley Development Cooperative provides the means for individuals and companies to pool their money to invest in an exciting opportunity – The Piazza. The Piazza will be a cornerstone of Little Italy, a downtown destination for all Edmontonians looking for a bustling hub of curated retail offering old-world charm with a contemporary urban vibe.
Built in 1989, The Piazza is a single-storey 10,093 square foot free-standing retail mall on a 20,156 square foot lot on the corner of 95th Street and 108A Avenue in the heart of Little Italy. The Piazza is currently 100% leased, with 6 tenants. The Piazza is directly across from Giovanni Caboto Paik, across the street from Zocalo and kiddy corner from Sorrentino’s and the Italian Centre Shop.
The McCauley Development Cooperative is pleased to announce that we are keenly looking for community-minded investors interested in renewing this pivotal corner in an historic, vibrant part of north downtown Edmonton. Range of investments will vary, but the overall opportunity is $1,000,000 (about 34% of the property value).
As the investment vehicle is authorized under the Income Tax Act, investment can be made by way of cash and/or by transferring RRSP or TFSA funds into a self-directed RRSP or self-directed TFSA.
The ultimate property owners of The Piazza will be the member/owners of the McCauley Development Cooperative.
